Norwich University of the Arts
Message from NUA
We wanted to update on NUA’s response to the Coronavirus outbreak and to reassure you that the health and wellbeing of our students, staff, alumni and friends is our top priority.
We are following all Government, NHS and Public Health England advice closely and reviewing the situation daily. We have moved to online teaching and home working which came into effect on Monday 23 March 2020.
There are some decisions that we have had to make and wanted to let you know about them:
Events
It with a heavy heart that we have had to cancel this year’s degree shows. We are looking into putting on a virtual show, where you will be able to see all the great work created by our graduating students. We will send out more information on this in the near future.
We will also be postponing our Graduation ceremonies which normally take place in the summer, until later in the year.
NUA’s new Chancellor, Amma Asante, will now be officially installed later in the year.
On Campus Services and Facilities
The NUA Campus will be closed from Tuesday 24th March until further notice. This will include the NUA Library. For those with a Library membership, we will be extending the membership to reflect original length once the Library reopens. If you have any enquiries about your membership, please contact the Library staff.
Our Community
With the majority of us now working from home, we believe it is important to keep in touch to continue to feel part of a community. We will send regular newsletters and would like to hear from you if you have something you would like to share with the community and our students. Keeping up morale is key to ensure we all adapt as best we can to this new way of life and any tips and advice would be greatly received.
We all have a role to play in keeping ourselves and each other safe and well and we will continue to offer the high-quality teaching, learning and experience for all students and staff albeit through new ways of working.
