We are very excited to launch the Fairhurst Gallery Shop this Christmas from December 1st. We aim to make it a ‘go to’ spot for buying unique gifts for your loved ones, an extra special treat for yourself or simply to browse the latest creations from a wide variety of incredible talent in Art and Design. The Fairhurst Gallery Shop will be stocked with special editions of artist’s work – some created especially for the Fairhurst – from artists we have worked with in the past (such as Hungarian artist Máté Orr), those we look forward to showcasing in the future and others who we feel excited to introduce to the Norwich Lanes.
We will also have a variety of framed and unframed prints, plus unique pieces from local and emerging artists and designers alongside established international ones. Bella Singleton scarves (as stocked in the Tate Modern) have already proved very popular and we will be exhibiting one of her beautiful designs in a bespoke frame made by Sophie here in the workshop. Photographer David Gwinnutt, fresh from his exhibition at The National Portrait Gallery will showcase an exclusive pair of antique chairs, newly upholstered with his famous portrait of artists Gilbert and George, we are also lucky enough to stock his recently published book “The White Camera Diaries”.
Also available in the Gallery Shop, will be sculptures from Royal College graduate Bruce Ingram, alongside his much sought after collage work. Recently named “The Best Portrait Painter In Britain” (Artlyst 2017) Geraldine Swayne has given us her incredible hand-painted rings, each completely unique and we are thrilled to be stocking the ceramics of London based artist Cat Santos whose work is in high demand across the UK. The shop will also stock work by Nicky Deeley, JD Appleton, Guy Allen, Joni Smith, Nom Kinnear King, Rosie Emerson, Rachel Kurdynowska, Nina Mae Fowler, Jo Stafford and Par Avion.
We will be open for late night shopping on Thursdays, until 8pm, throughout December. Gift wrapping is also available. Do pop in and say “Hello”!
