The Holt Festival itself is sadly cancelled but the Sir John Hurt and Sworders Art Prizes are still open for entries with online exhibitions. Although the performances are cancelled, it is our intention that the two art prizes will go ahead, and we are planning an online exhibition of the shortlisted entries, followed if possible, by a live exhibition at a later date.If you have any questions please do get in touch and remember to sign-up to our mailing list for the latest festival news.
'A Fine Balance' by Contemporary and Country at Houghton Hall will not open on 29 March as previously advertised following Government advice received regarding the Coronavirus pandemic, alongside the exhibition by Anish Kapoor. If Houghton Hall opens later this year, our pop-up will appear alongside the much anticipated exhibition. In the meantime we will present "A Fine Balance"* as an online showcase. This showcase presents recent work by 40+ artists and makers from across East Anglia, all explore narratives original to natural life forms and processes that distinguish different aspects of our environment. They reveal the fragility of unusual topographies and celebrate the cyclical process of a coastal landscape alternating between erosion and renewal.

Anglian Potters Coronavirus update
As everything is closing down and we are asked to isolate, one of the few things we can enjoy is working with clay! Already, several of the major summer events have been cancelled, our Spring Exhibition in Norwich won't be going ahead, and we suspect that this is only the beginning.
For more information about Anglian Potters, please follow this link.
