Open Ramble East
Opportunity for Artists Open Ramble East are seeking expressions of interest from East of England based LGBTQI+ Artists, Writers and Musicians to contribute to a series of walks and social gatherings in Spring 2019. Artist Ian Giles and Open Ramble East are organising walks for LGBTQI+ people in Colchester, Great Yarmouth, Cambridge and Norwich. The rambling walks will move from urban centres out in to more rural spaces. They will enable walkers to socialise, have fun and form links. After each walk there will be a social event with food and music. What we are looking for We are looking for creative minds to respond to individual walks. This might entail collecting items, drawing, object making, sound recording, foraging, song writing or any manner of responses during the walks. We are also very interested in inviting artists and makers to contribute to the post-walk social events, this may include: table decorations, flower arranging, food, music, DJing, performance, table cloth and napkin design and all manner of outcomes. What you can do as a response is open at this stage of the process but you should share some interest in the natural world, social practices and also be thinking about gay and queer lives within the East. APPLY We want to hear from you if you are interested in contributing to these walks and social events in any form.
