About Art in Norwich
The fourth edition of Art in Norwich is now available covering March - August 2015 visual art events in and around Norwich. This is the cover so look out for copies around the city, from arts venues, the Tourist Information Centre, coffee shops and bars in the city centre - it's a handy size to keep in your bag, on the noticeboard or in a drawer at home.
It contains listings and info about most of the visual arts activity in and around Norwich for the next six months. It is available as a download from here, and is also available from partner and arts venues, arts info spinner racks and the Tourist Information Centre.
The listings are put together as a collaborative venture by the Norwich Visual Arts Forum and all of the partners contribute to the production and distribution which is coordinated by Marion Catlin of Culture Shift. It offers an overview of venues, organisations and events throughout the year and is great for tourists and visitors as well people who live in and around Norwich.

SUPERSTRUCTURES... tells the story of architecture's fascination with new technology, lightweight structures, pioneering building techniques and innovative engineering solutions in the latter half of the 20th century.
Encounter drawings, furniture, product design and film alongside a selection of iconic models rarely on display together including the Pompidou Centre, the International Terminal Waterloo, the Hopkins House and a brand new three-metre-long model of the Sainsbury Centre.

Urban Art Fair 2018
Norwich City Council is inviting applications to take part in the third Urban Art Fair on Sunday 8 July which will be part of the annual Lord Mayor’s Celebration. The art fair will be held in front of City Hall on St Peter’s Street from 11am until 4pm and will include workshops and live music. There will be an opportunity to buy and sell artwork, talk to artists and enjoy the atmosphere.

Norman Ackroyd RA: a talk by the master printmaker of British landscape

Norman trained at the Royal College of Art where he studied under Julian Trevelyan. He is one of Britain’s foremost landscape artists and contemporary printmakers. Born in Leeds, his love of landscape was nurtured on long boyhood bicycle rides in the Yorkshire Dales. Norman wrote ‘I really needed to understand the land I was born in, to be back standing in my own muck’. His work, over the past thirty years, has gained him an international reputation and Norman has work inTate and New York’s MoMA. He was elected a Royal Academician in 1991 and in 2000 was made Senior Fellow, Royal College of Art. He was made CBE for services to engraving and printing in 2007.

We are a 10 bed women's rehab in Norwich established for 30 years. We are looking for Norwich artists to create inspirational art for women in recovery who would be willing to donate the art to hang in our rehab. The story so far:
The third quarter of Belgian Surrealist artist René Magritte's lost painting of two female nudes La Pose enchantée is re-discovered hidden under another painting La Condition humaine in Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery
The whereabouts of the fourth and final quarter remains unknown.
The painting in question is about to go on view at the Pompidou Centre in Paris as part of a major exhibition of Magritte's paintings.
